Route in off-road vehicle for observation of animals, roe deer, mouflon, deer, fallow deer and wild boar.

We are in an area of special protection of birds, so in this tour it is possible to spot golden eagles and vultures. On the way, we will also enjoy lagoons of glacial and periglacial origin.

We will also know the enigmatic birch forest of Xares, cataloged in the “Guía de Arbores Senlleiras de Galicia”

MUSEUM OF PEPE DE BARRIO

Visit to the museum where most of the work of this emblematic local artist is collected. Sculptor, poet and extraordinary human being. His legacy is distributed among all the villages of the Concello, and in the famous “Via Crucis de A Serra”.

LINE MUSEUM

The flax museum is part of the A Veiga Ethnographic Network. Located in the parish of Requeixo, there we can learn the art of the loom and the complicated process from the sowing of the linen, until its later elaboration.

DESTINY STARLIGHT

Since 2015, the A Veiga Council has the Starlight Destination certificate, which guarantees a dark sky, free of light pollution.

The accommodation has a telescope, binoculars and planispheres for observation of the stars, and we are 800 meters from the astronomical viewpoint of O Rañadoiro.

We offer our clients a brief explanation of the night sky, always subject to the availability of our monitor entitled Starlight.

VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER

In the neighboring parish of Ponte, we have the Visitor Center of the Peña Trevinca ZEC, a space that offers information about the highest peak in Galicia and its surroundings.

At this point is the start of mountain routes approved by the Mountain Federation.
